Let’s begin with the title, Me First, Darling. It’s more than a name—it’s a declaration, a loving reminder, and a mindset shift.
You see, for too long, many of us—especially women—have been conditioned to put everyone else first. The children, the spouse, the job, the community, the expectations, the obligations. We pour and pour until there’s nothing left for ourselves. And then, we wonder why we’re exhausted, overwhelmed, and spiritually depleted.
To everyone who crossed my path—those who uplifted me with love, and those who, in their own way, taught me through resistance—I thank you. Whether your role was to encourage or to challenge, each experience became a valuable lesson. Without the trials, the growth, the misunderstandings, and even the energy of those still on their own journey of healing and discovery, I wouldn’t have gained the clarity or compassion to write this book.
Every moment was part of the divine unfolding. You helped me become more.
